Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) in Pristina
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) in Pristina, at Njomez, is a technique where pigment is placed in tiny dots on the scalp to create the look of closely cut hair or greater density. It is also called a hair tattoo or a scalp tattoo. It is mostly chosen by men, but suits women too.
One thing up front: SMP does not regrow hair, and it is not a medical treatment. It only changes how the scalp looks. On this page we say plainly what it does and does not do.
What it is
Many small dots of pigment are placed in the upper layer of the scalp skin. From a distance they read as short hair stubble, and they can create a defined hairline or a denser look. It is slow, careful work aimed at a natural result.
Hair loss
If your hair is thinning, your hairline is receding or you have bare patches, SMP can create the look of more density: a new, natural hairline, or fine dots of pigment in areas that look empty. It does not stop hair loss and does not bring back lost hair. It looks best with short or shaved hair. If you suspect a medical cause for your hair loss, talk to a doctor.
SMP or hair transplant
A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that moves existing hair, done by doctors and clinics, with cost and recovery. SMP involves no surgery and does not grow new hair; it only changes the look, to short or shaved hair. Njomez does SMP only, not transplants, so for a transplant ask a doctor or specialist clinic.
- If you don’t want surgery or don’t have enough donor hair, SMP can be an alternative.
- If you have had a transplant, SMP can add density or cover marks.
- If you want long hair, SMP does not solve that.
Scalp scar camouflage
If you have marks after a transplant (for example small FUE marks), an operation or an injury, SMP can make them less visible by tinting the area so it blends with the surrounding skin. It does not erase or heal a scar. It works best on scars that are fully healed, flat and old; fresh or raised scars may have limits. If we think it won’t turn out well, we tell you before you pay.
Who it suits and who it doesn’t
It suits you if you have thinning hair, a receding hairline or baldness, and you like your hair short or shaved. It will not give you long hair. It should wait, or you should ask your doctor, if you have an infection or a skin condition on the scalp, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If SMP is not right for you, we say so.
How it goes
It starts with a consultation: we look at your scalp, hair and hairline, talk about expectations and agree the shape. SMP is then usually done over several sessions. Number and length: [NUMBER OF SESSIONS AND DURATION – from Njomza]
Healing and aftercare
After a session the scalp can be red and sensitive for a few days. The usual rules: avoid harsh washing, heavy sweating, sun and pools early on. Full instructions: [AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS – from Njomza]
How long it lasts
SMP fades gradually over time and may need a refresh. Timing: [TOUCH-UP TIMING – from Njomza]
FAQ
Does SMP regrow hair?
No. SMP places pigment in the skin to change the look; it does not grow hair.
Does it look natural?
That is the aim, when shape and shade are matched to you.
Is SMP an alternative to a hair transplant?
For the look, yes, for some people. For new real hair, no. They can also be used together, but discuss it with your doctor and with us.
Does SMP remove a scar?
No. It makes it less visible but does not remove it.
Does it hurt?
It depends on the area and your pain threshold. You can ask for a break any time.
